This photo was taken by a friend of mine on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. I wanted to emphasize the wildlife and beautiful scenery.

I first cropped the photo, enhanced a few of the colors and adjusted the luminance of the sky. 

One of the biggest aspects of the photo is the warm tones which I hoped to bring out by overlaying a solid yellow color. 

For the text I found a font that best related to the feel and experience of Yellowstone. American Typewriter seemed to be a great fit. By subtly dissolving the text into the sky, we achieved a more Western, rustic look. 

The placement of the text in the top center amongst a slightly faded yellow strip allows the reader to clearly view the text while simultaneously tying the display together.
